There you have it, I've been blathering on for 100 posts!
So I thought I'd have another contest and give away a mouse.
But wait, there's more!
I'm going to give away two mice.
So there's 2 ways you can win...
One normal way anyone can try, and another way you can try if you have a blog.
So if you have a blog, you can try both!
First way to win...
I've just had my new mid sized turtles finished and photographed.
But they don't have any names.
So, whoever comes up with the trio of names for these turtles I like best wins a mouse (the winner can pick any mouse from Sprightly, Nosey and Chubby).
You have to post your names as a comment, or email them if you have trouble with the comment thing working (put 'name that turtle' in the subject line).
They can be any kind of names you like. Descriptive names, like my mice, or actual names, like my tiny bunnies.
As you can see, one turtle is minding its own business, one is quite bold, and one a bit shy.
If, by some strange coincidence someone comes up with the same names as someone else, the earlier poster wins.
If I pick 3 names from 2 or more posts, I'll give it to the person with 2 names I picked, or roll a dice for the winner if it's a name each from three posters.
If it's 3 names in one later post, all of which were posted earlier by separate people, the all in one gets it.
You can have 2 tries each, 3 names per try. So you can have an early go, and hold off for a bit for a second go.
If some other permutation of unforseen strangeness prevails requiring a judging decision, I'll decide as fairly as I can and my decision will be final (hey, it's my blog after all!).
So what are you waiting for!
Name that turtle (and that one, and that one...)!
Deadline is my next post, when I'll announce the winners.
Second way to win...
If you have a blog (it must have existed before today!), you can enter by posting an announcement of this contest with a link to this post on your blog.
Let me know by commenting on this post, or email me ('blog entry' in the subject line) and you'll be in the blog draw for a mouse of your choice (from Nosey, Sprightly and Chubby).
Any bloggers who enter before the end of this weekend (before June 14) gets a double entry - their name goes in the hat twice!
So there you go! Have fun and good luck!
I'm looking forward to naming my turtles next week (deadline is my next post, when I'll announce the winners).
.................................................................
Oh, it was a tiger salamander in last week's post, lurking under the water at the garden place. Looked about a foot long, and was quite lively.

My favorite turtle:Tooter Turtle
"Trizzle Trazzle, Trazzle Trum, it's time for this one to come home"
I haven't blogged this yet but i put it on facebook. Does that count?
Eeany, Meany, Miney, Of course there's also Moe, Larry and Curley.
Diane
I hadn't thought of that.
Maybe I'll do a third mouse for people who post on fb if I can monitor it. My next contest will have to be 'three ways to win' for sure, if after posting on fb people could send me a link so I can confirm it. Is that even possible? I'm not sure.
Cool idea though, thanks!
OK Steve, got you blogged :) I was tempted to go with Larry , Darryl and Darryl LOL....but let's go with
"Halvar, Ludde and Petter" they look swedish to me LOL.
They look like painted turtles, which remind me of ponds. And since I'm currently in the south they look like a trio of Ted, Herman, and Evanrude (bold one, shy one, & minding own business)
or females, in which case they look like: Sandy, Gene, and Eureka (minding own business, shy one, bold one)
To me, they look like Kant, Kierkegaard, and Nietzche. Kant is the shy, introspective one, Kierkegaard is the friendly, curious one, and Nietzche is the bold, independent one.
Name those turtles: Okay, for some reason we love our spanish names. They always make us smile, for the independent one, Salvador, Ceasar and the shy one Esperanza. I also posted this on my blog:) http://spluckygirlart.wordpress.com/ gracias, haha. Amy
My choices for names are: Curious, Cautious and Calmly. Thanks for the fun.
I blogged it now as well!!
I'll try to get it on my blog this evening. In the mean time you can see my post on FB
http://www.facebook.com/KHendersonArtist
I think I have my settings for everyone to see my posts, not just friends
Done. http://khendersonart.blogspot.com/2010/06/steve-worthington-bronze-mice-contest.html
The bit shy turtle... "Pivot"
The bold one... "Stretch"
The mind own business... "Reach"
Posting on my blog...

Hi there, I wanted to name these little creatures...Wanta smooch, Justa smoocher, and Totally smooched
also added your site to my site at Justgottapaint.webs.com
Have a great weekend everyone!
I'm going with Engelbert, Schoop and Scold.
Added you as a link on my blog too now.
COSY, BITCH 'nd TIN
I would like to see you name them after Peter Rabbit and two of his siblings, Flopsy and Mopsy. So, Flopsy, Mopsy and Peter.
Arthur, Stanley & Norman
Athos, Porthos & Aramis - the 3 Musketeers (and Ninja turtles). Porthos would, of course, be the one with his head stuck in his shell. :)
I'll try too! Speedy, Andele, and Arriba!
My choice would be Winkin, Blinkin and Nod (Blinkin has his head in his shell, Nod would be the one with his neck sticking out.)
Fun thing to do on a Sunday morning while slurping first coffee.
Mo (short for dynamo) for the bold one.
Seeker for the curious one.
WD (pronounced dubyadee) for the timid one, WithDrawn into its shell.
Working on some names, meanwhile put it on my family blog.
Because you are an artist I think these three little guys should be named...Vince, Norm and Leo named after three very recognizable artists. And just because it rolls off the tongue!
I have posted on my blog with a link to yours. Love your work!
They are beautifully created, as are the mice. To me they look like- Gertrude, Maurice & Pierre.
Hi Steve, I posted a blog entry for you. :) Posted at http://lamgallery.com/cblog/
Hi Steve. Torto, Torta and
Torta-lean-ee (for the long necked turtle) Wonderful sculptures !!!
Scott L. Hendrie
Hi Steve, love your work! I just posted your Contest info on my blog.
Zip, Zan and Zee. Three brothers I actually grew up with.
Steve
So adorable. Have been admiring your work through Jelaine's blog. Posted contest at http://lantramart.blogspot.com/
P.S. It is only 11:17 p.m. here. I'm on Pacific Daylight time like Jelaine.
Hi, Saw info on your turtle giveaway on Bonnie Heather's Art Blog. Love your art! Recently had an encounter with a medium size beautiful tortise. Due to a lot of rain here lately our little creek has been very full, while my husband was out checking on things he came across this tortise who had the most beautiful orange spots and a honey colored shell. I was surprised that he was so assertive, I don't think he backed into his shell once while we visited with him. OKay, I'll get to the chase....Shy Violet, Nosey Nora and Couldn't be Bothered Celeste.
Posted on my blog...
http://blog.lunchisoptional.com/2010/06/win-mouse-sculpture.html
And my name entries...
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
See what you think about these :
The shy turtle - Petunia
The turtle walking - Creeping Jennie
The turtle with the extended neck - Trillium
Tigwig, Skwidgit, and Tuck
Pokey, Slow Moe, and Dawdle - however I do find myself getting a snicker out of Pokey, Slow Moe, and Chuck.
PS. Heard of you from Neil Hollingsworth' Blog - really great work!
How about, Mr. Sniffy, Stretch, and Peek-A-Boo.
Why not go for the obvious 3 musketeers...
Athos, Porthos, and Aramis
"tous pour un, un pour tous".
("all for one, one for all")
I name the turtles.
Yes , No and Maybe
My choices are:
Challenger, for the bold one.
Bashful, for the shy one.
Slowski, for the one minding his own business.
Posted your contest on my blog too! http://fortmeyer.blogspot.com/
Really love Nosey!
Name one "David Seymour," who was my college roommate many years ago, and who is still one of my closest friends, and whose nickname is "Turtle."
Name the other two "Susan" and "Jenny," David Seymour's (aka, Turtle's) wife and daughter.
How about Gretyl, Diesel, and, Ameril?
Fun! I love them. Okay - how about: Katharine (as in Hepburn), Jimmy (as in Stewart) and Howard (as in Hughes)? I'll leave it to your interpretation who's who : )
They have to be named:
Nekker
Screwge
Heigh-ho
How about
1-HIDE(shy one)
2-GO(minding its own business)
3-SEEK(bold one)
swans333atyahoo.com
Mug, Stout & Longneck
my 2nd try is
1=Toot-Toot(minding his own)
2=Tootsie(bold one)
3=Goodbye(shy)
that was fun thanks
